736.4 kWp already contribute to increasing the sustainability of IPOLFG

Challenge Overcome!
It was, without a shadow of a doubt, a very challenging project that we developed and now, not only sees the light of day, but also uses it to generate electricity for self-consumption within the entire infrastructure of the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Lisbon Francisco Gentil (IPOLFG).
RToFES was responsible for preparing the engineering and execution project, having designed, engineered, dimensioned and specified this project, which has around 1,790 high-efficiency photovoltaic modules, totaling an installed power of 736.4 kWpDC and a nominal power/connection of 630 kW/KVA, which reflects an overall power ratio (DC/AC) of 1.17. A total area slightly greater than 3,450 m2 was used, and this project stands out due to the fact that the UPAC is subdivided into several subunits or subparks, a total of 5, installed on the roofs of 5 buildings and also on the ground.
The execution and engineering project was carried out in two phases, with each phase involving a combination of mutual efforts between the Owner (IPOLFG) and RToFES, aiming to maximize the installed power and obtain the greatest economic return. The initial field survey work was fundamental in the subsequent three-dimensional modeling of the entire project, modeling that allowed us to analyze with greater rigor and in great detail the possible impacts of shading on the modules, caused by any obstacle existing on their periphery. . The compromise achieved between installed power and energy performance was quite good, with most subparks not experiencing performance reductions due to shading impacts.
In the first year of operation, this self-consumption production unit (UPAC) is expected to produce a little over 130 MWh, with a performance index slightly above 80%, working, in terms of hours equivalent to maximum power between 1436 hours (P50) and 1310 hours (P90). From the point of view of the useful life of this project, assumed to be 25 years, it is expected that this project will allow IPOLFG an average annual energy production of approximately 126 MWh, with a specific production expected between 1347 kWh/kWp (P50) and 1229 kWh/kWp (P90) with performance index (PR Ratio) greater than 75%.
It is a source of pride for RToFES to have contributed to increasing the sustainability of IPOLFG and reducing its carbon footprint, as was, and continues to be, one of IPOLFG's major commitments - to be committed to the need for its sustainability. energy - see news from IPOLFG ->https://www.ipolisboa.min-saude.pt/noticias/paineis-fotovoltaicos-tornam-o-ipo-lisboa-mais-sustentavel-e-amigo-do-ambiente/.
The project was built by the winner of the public tender and the IPOLFG Self-Consumption Production Unit is fully installed and ready to produce energy.

Excellent work. Keep going!
Very interesting project. Congratulations!
